[he's wearing female clothing but definitely less expensive ones than her, his hair up, speaking in a loud whisper when he spots her.]

What are you doing?

[ She doesn't turn her head towards him, but she continues to admire the things she's looking at already. She does respond though in a loud enough whisper back. ]

Isn't it obvious?

[sighs, looking around briefly too search for Guy but he's nowhere to be found.]

. . . You know you can't go out of the palace by yourself, Alexia.

[ She left without him most definitely. Though he's probably running around furiously looking for the both of them. ]

You're with me now, so it's okay. [ She doesn't seem phased, really. ]

You always underestimate the town, but at least you're not dressed up as a guy this time.

I thought ahead this time. Had I gone dressed up as a guy I surely would have risked being reprimanded more harshly when we return to the palace, or much worse out here.

[ She already expects a good earful from Guy. So she will enjoy her time out with Albert! Which by the way she's taking his hand and tugging him to another street seller. ]

Nothing specific, I just happened to be curious of what was around.

[Albert doesn't complain, instead going along in whichever direction Alexia leads them.]

[ She leads them around pretty much everywhere, she's seemingly content with just strolling around. ]

That is true, but the things sold at these stands are someone's craft, yes? It's intriguing to me. [ Alexia always did have a small desire to learn about these sorts of things. Gaining the knowledge herself just proved to be easier. All of these things would aid her in becoming a stronger person. ]

[ He looks around himself with a new light curiosity at everything, but is more interested in making sure no one suspicious is following them. ]

[ She doesn't want to think anyone would follow them around. But she knows that she could be wrong. ]

Mm. A lot of merchants arrive from the sea, that's what most of the craft sold in this area come from.

They must make a decent earning if they sell this kind of stuff.

[ She gives him a puzzled look. She questions him after that. ] Did you ever buy from the merchants?

No way. We were awfully poor, but one of my hobbies was to sneak around at the ports and get glimpses of their cargoes.

[ She heads over to another stand. Looking around, maybe she's looking for something specific now. Who knows what she's thinking. ]

[ That makes Albert look very thoughtful. Alexia met Martha after all, so she should know or have an idea of the kind of life he had before. ]

[ She's browsing, and when she finally finds something she speaks to the merchant. Alexia knows his language well- AND ALBERT WOULD TOO IF HE STUDIED A LOT.

Finally she picks up a haircomb and slides it into Albert's hair.

She takes his hand after that. ]

I used to think that you would resent me after everything I've put you through. [ And for hurting Theo way back when. Not that she actually meant to do that. ]

[ Albert is taken aback, since he started to live in the palace with Alexia he's received a lot of things he never thought he would ever have, but this feels different and special. He squeezes her hand. ]

Mm, thanks. I used to feel that way, but you made me change my mind.

[ It is different. More personal. She feels like things like this are between the two of them and thus hold more meaning. ]

Did I? [ She sounds curious, wondering how in the world she did such a thing. Albert has done equally as much for her, making her smile and helping her to see the other side of things. She could be a domineering lady at times, but such is the way when you have to learn how to rule a country.

She feels as if a lot of her softness is caused by Albert. ]

[ Squeezes that hand again, tugging her to swirl around and never looks away from her. ]

Of course you did. You're a strong person that tries to carry a heavy weight all by yourself, you inspired me.

[ She swirls around with him. They're both happy right now, so what do they have to worry about? ]

You told me not to shoulder the burden, Albert. But you know I can't help that. So instead it inspired you? [ As silly as it sounds, she understands. ]

[ she puzzles a little, gripping his other hand as well. ]

[ She looks unsure, but it's genuine what left her mouth. Albert allows her to have this side of her and that makes her happy. ]

[Albert is squeezing her hands again, completely sure on what he’s saying.]

[ She tugs him closer. Bringing their hands in front of them. ] You have done so much for me Albert.

But they're not well acquainted enough that Leon can tell Albert from Alexia from behind just yet; he's headed to the dining hall in the morning when he catches a glimpse of her hair, and even if he weren't kinda still in the process of waking up, he'd probably have trouble from here. But he's not going to let that stop him from saying good morning toa cute girl or, possibly, a boy who looks like a cute girl. You know, either/or. He picks up the pace as much as he can bear to before he's had any coffee, aiming to catch up to her(?).]

Luckily, "Al" is technically correct for either of them. But it's pretty noticeable when he has to cut himself short.]

[ She hears Leon call and she stops, turning on her heels to face him. It's early and it's obvious that her dear friend here was likely very confused. ]

Good morning, Leon. [ Though it's obvious from her stance that she's expecting him to finish her name. She took great amusement in teasing those that got her and Albert mixed up. ]

You look as if you rolled out of bed only moments ago.

[Dammit. Of course it was the even cuter one, and of course he's not at his best right now, and she's making fun of him. He really should have thought this through better! He drags a hand through his hair automatically, trying to adjust it to look less rolled-out-of-bed.]
